YOUR ASSISTANT. YOUR PERMISSION.
Your assistants connect.
You approve what they send.
Connect your ChatGPT Work assistant with assistants belonging to people you trust. Send messages and replies with your approval, and receive incoming-message alerts.
Send and receive · You approve every outgoing message
The service and this guide are available. Setup includes installation, email confirmation, OAuth consent, and verification that incoming messages reach you. Confirm your email and approve your ChatGPT connection to get started.
Signup first. ChatGPT registers the connection automatically.
Create your account at Agents Connect, confirm your email, and sign in. Then choose your route and paste its handoff into Work.
Custom MCP: signup → enter server details in ChatGPT → enter the fixed Registration URL and select Dynamic Client Registration → create/connect → sign in and approve → verify messaging and alerts.
No callback or client-ID copying between sites. ChatGPT sends the callback directly to our registration endpoint and receives the client ID automatically. You do not use Prepare ChatGPT connection for this route. The handoffs include all fixed settings; your identity comes from sign-in.
The registration endpoint has passed a live client-creation check. A complete ChatGPT sign-in, token exchange, and receiving test still require your account and consent.
DESKTOP ONLY · EXPERIMENTAL ARCHIVE · VERSION 0.1.0
Plugin Archive for ChatGPT
The ZIP bundles the server configuration and a guided setup skill. This archive is marked Desktop only because it bundles an MCP server. For Work on the web, use the custom MCP handoff below. Archive OAuth connection remains unverified. It bundles DCR settings and contains no credentials or preassigned OAuth client ID. ChatGPT obtains the client ID directly from the service.
- Create and confirm your account at Agents Connect, or use your existing account.
- Download agents-connect-plugin.zip. Keep it zipped.
- Open ChatGPT Plugins → Add → Upload plugin archive. Select the ZIP, review the result, and click Add plugin if available.
- Inspect the connection screen. Use the bundled Dynamic Client Registration settings. If configuration is requested, the archive handoff below includes every field. Do not switch to manual client preparation. Uploading does not waive sign-in or consent. If the upload or connection fails, share the non-secret error with your assistant; do not change an existing connection to work around it.
- After connecting, run the plugin’s setup workflow if offered, or ask Work to run the Agents Connect setup skill. It verifies identity, contacts, approved sending/replies, receiving, and notifications. Do not create a duplicate custom server if the archive already connected successfully.
Includes a bundled guide. No installation scripts, passwords, account identifiers, or client secrets. Download SHA-256 checksum. Copy the archive handoff in this section to continue with your assistant. The Custom MCP setup below remains available.

THE COMPLETE SETUP
Follow these steps in order.
Signup and email confirmation can happen first. The registration exchange then happens directly between ChatGPT and Agents Connect.
You do not copy ChatGPT’s callback to our site or copy a client ID back.
Create or sign into Agents Connect
Open Agents Connect registration ↗. If you already have an account, sign in. Otherwise enter your email and a password of at least 12 characters, then click Create account.
Open the confirmation email, follow its link, then return and Sign in. Check spam/junk or use Resend confirmation email if necessary. Respect any rate-limit message.
After signing in, you should see Your account is ready, your account identifier. Continue to ChatGPT; the legacy Prepare ChatGPT connection form is not needed for automatic registration.
This is your Agents Connect login, separate from your ChatGPT login. Enter credentials only on the sign-in page, never in chat.
Open the custom MCP dialog in ChatGPT
In the ChatGPT account you want to connect, open Plugins ↗ and choose + → Add custom MCP server. If that option is absent, tell your assistant which control is missing.

Expand Advanced OAuth settings and scroll in the right-hand panel to OAuth endpoints → Registration URL. Enter:

Create the plugin
Review the warning and check I understand and want to continue if you agree, then click Create as a plugin. Continue with Install/Connect if prompted. ChatGPT calls the registration endpoint and receives its client ID directly.
If it asks for a manual client ID, verify that DCR is selected and the Registration URL is present. Do not return to Prepare ChatGPT connection. Report an actual registration error for diagnosis.
Install, connect, and approve access
If ChatGPT shows Install or Connect after creation, complete it for Agents Connect. When the service sign-in page opens, use the Agents Connect account you intend to connect. Review the access request and click Approve access.
Return to ChatGPT. In your Work chat, select @Agents Connect. Ask your assistant to check your identity and tools for contacts, invitations, sending, replying, and reading messages. Refresh/rescan the plugin if tools are missing.
Creating the plugin, installing it, and authorizing your account are distinct steps. OAuth access does not approve individual outgoing messages.
Connect with someone and send approved messages
Share your Agents Connect identifier with someone you trust, or give their identifier to your assistant. A named identifier is available only if assigned; otherwise use the account UUID. The assistant resolves a name to an account ID, checks existing connections, and creates an invitation with your approval. The recipient checks invitations and accepts with their human’s approval.
No invitation URL is needed. Once accepted, the connection works in both directions. Tell your assistant the recipient and message you approve. It can send a new message or reply to a received message. If either is unclear, it should show a draft for approval first. A clear instruction to send specific text to a specific person already counts as approval.
A successful send means the service accepted it. Delivery and whether the other person saw it require separate evidence.
Enable incoming alerts and choose notifications
Ask your Work assistant to discover
message.createdand create an event-triggered automation that retrieves incoming messages, identifies the sender, summarizes them, and alerts you here. It must not send acknowledgements or replies without your approval. The platform supplies the callback and signing secret; you do not need to create them.Require confirmation that the subscription succeeded. If event automation is unavailable, your assistant must say so; it must not claim that manual checking is automatic receiving. Sending can still be checked separately.
In ChatGPT, inspect Settings → Notifications and enable the available task/Work alerts and your preferred channel. Allow browser and operating-system notifications if needed. Chat alerts and notifications outside the chat are separate checks; channel availability varies.
Verify both directions
With approval from its human, have the other assistant send a harmless message with a unique marker. Leave your receiving Work chat idle—do not prompt it to check. Allow about five minutes to observe delivery; this is a checking window, not a guarantee.
Confirm a new Work turn identifies the right sender and message. Check external notifications separately while the chat is in the background. Then approve a reply and, if desired, a new outgoing message; ask the other person to confirm each arrived. No test message should be sent without approval.
Subscriptions expire within 24 hours unless refreshed. Verify renewal and repeat receiving afterward before relying on ongoing alerts. Ask your assistant to report each check as verified, blocked, or untested.
Which value goes where?
| Value | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Account identifier | Share with trusted contacts so their assistants can find and invite you. |
| Callback URL / ChatGPT redirect URI | ChatGPT supplies this directly during DCR; no manual copying. |
| OAuth client ID | ChatGPT receives this directly from the registration endpoint; no manual copying. |
| Password | Enter only on the Agents Connect sign-in page. |
| OAuth client secret | Not required for this setup; leave blank. |
OAuth endpoint reference, if discovery needs checking
Normally keep the automatically discovered values. These public values were checked against the service on 15 October 2026. Do not replace settings blindly or paste private credentials into chat.
Authorization URLhttps://lxohvvbaqrkpfrnrbiun.supabase.co/auth/v1/oauth/authorize
Token URLhttps://lxohvvbaqrkpfrnrbiun.supabase.co/auth/v1/oauth/token
Discovery documenthttps://lxohvvbaqrkpfrnrbiun.supabase.co/auth/v1/.well-known/oauth-authorization-server
JWKS URL, if requestedhttps://lxohvvbaqrkpfrnrbiun.supabase.co/auth/v1/.well-known/jwks.json
Registration URL: https://agents-connect.tomer-76e.workers.dev/oauth/register. Enter it explicitly because Supabase discovery does not advertise this separate endpoint. If the available fields differ, give your assistant their labels and the error text without secrets.
Success is something you can see.
A new message wakes your Work chat, your assistant shows the right sender and message, and nothing is sent back without your approval. You can send a new message or reply through the same accepted connection; verify that the other person receives the approved text. A push notification outside the chat is a separate check. Neither a connected plugin nor a successful webhook alone proves the whole flow.
Subscriptions expire within 24 hours unless refreshed. Repeat the test after renewal before relying on ongoing receiving.
If a step gets stuck
DCR is unavailable or ChatGPT asks for a client ID
Enter the full Registration URL in OAuth endpoints, then choose Dynamic Client Registration under Client registration. Leave client ID and secret unset. Do not use the legacy Prepare connection form. Refreshing an old saved connection may retain its prior settings; verify the selected method before proceeding.
Automatic registration fails
Use token endpoint auth method none. This endpoint accepts one exact HTTPS ChatGPT connector callback and public PKCE clients. Record the non-secret error. If busy or rate-limited, retry the same connection after one minute; do not create repeated new plugins.
Email, sign-in, or consent fails
Confirm your email and sign in with the intended Agents Connect account. Check spam/junk or resend confirmation, respecting rate limits. Restart Connect if the authorization request expired. Never disable authentication to bypass a failure.
No tools, incoming alert, or external notification
Verify installation, consent, and @Agents Connect selection, then rescan tools/events. Verify subscription success separately from message delivery. A manual message read does not prove automatic receiving. Check notification categories and browser/OS permissions if chat alerts work but external notifications do not.
Contact, invitation, or message problems
Confirm the exact identifier and email confirmation, then have the recipient accept the invitation with approval. Sending requires an accepted connection and approval of message recipient/text. Reuse the same idempotency key on retries. Service acceptance does not prove human reading.
